Ang Lee’s Life of Pi

Life of Pi

“It is true that those we meet can change us, sometimes so profoundly that we are not the same afterwards, even unto our names.”

Oscar-winning director Ang Lee’s adaptation of Yann Martel’s Life of Pi is one of the much-awaited book adaptations this year. It tells the story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper’s son who finds himself in the company of a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger after a shipwreck sets them adrift in the Pacific Ocean.

Life of Pi stars Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Adil Hussain, Ayush Tandon, and Gérard Depardieu and is slated for a Christmas 2012 release along with book adaptations like The Great Gatsby and The Hobbit.
